The heart-breaking footage sees the Game Of Thrones beauty take on the role of carer Louisa Clark, while the Hunger Games hunk portrays Will Traynor.
Me Before You tells the tale of a small town lady who strikes up a friendship with a paralyzed man, who recently suffered a motorbike accident and is now confined to a wheelchair.
The infectious Lou loses her job at a café and is forced to take the next job available at the employment centre, in order to support her extended family.
She is then compelled to become a carer for Will, who hails from a wealthy family in the suburbs - romance eventually blossoms between the two, despite the rocky start.
Emilia - who is famed for playing Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, in the hugely popular HBO fantasy - revealed that she is far more like Lou than any other the fierce character she has ever previously played.
‘It's funny with these strong female roles,’ she said on USA TODAY. ‘I'm really quite clumsy, say the wrong thing all the time and am awkward at the best of times.
‘My friends and family have seen this other person every single day.’
Meanwhile, director Thea Sharrock went on to praise both Clarke and Claflin's performance in the new romantic venture.
‘Sam literally plays the part with no movement below the neck,’ she added. ‘All he had really was facial movements. That was a challenge.’
The upcoming drama will see Emilia perform alongside her GOT co-star Charles Dance, Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis, Doctor Who actress Jenna Coleman and Downton Abbey‘s Brendan Coyle.
